Woo Hoo! It's Friday again and a holiday weekend, too. Yay! I just finished brushing and cleaning the pool, and boy, was that a work out!! Sometimes I wish we had a pool man, but we're trying to save everywhere we can. I think everyone is nowadays, don't you? Having a pool man isn't a necessity when we can do it ourselves, but it's just a pain. But a pain well worth the reward because we practically live in it all summer long. And we do love it. :)
Weekend plans.... today the kids and I are baking a flag cake. You know. The one with blueberries and strawberries. Aren't those the cutest? Hey! Just like the beads I have this week. What a coincidence!... hehe :) For the 4th, we're having a barbeque here at the house (hence me cleaning the pool so it's all nice and sparkly) We're cooking pork ribs, baked beans and I'm making potato salad. I do not like the store bought stuff... it's awful, I think. So I always make my own. Then we're going to the mall to see the fireworks, like we do every year, and it's always a great show! Dwayne loves it when you can feel the booms in your chest because it reminds him of his childhood. When he was a little boy, his family would watch the fireworks by the lake in New Hampshire. Although he says, they're not as loud as they used to be. They are close and he really gets a tickle out of it. And so do I seeing his eyes light up...lol Now I won't see you till Tuesday. I'm taking Monday off.
Just a note: Tuesday, I will have new sliders sets... same time 11:30pst.
